| TOO MUCH PRESSURE? I just ordered the device but have a concern, it looks like you squeeze quite hard on the shaft.Doesnt this cause the urethra to close down or get constricted???? |

| I have the same concern. I started using the PJ sideways...but I'd really like to hear a more professional opinion on the matter. |

| Stormblade,
Iposted something similar earlier today under subject"vertical rollers". I too would like review by moderator on object of power jelking. Specifically, are we trying to increase pressure in chambers, only, inwhich case a vertical jelk ,held for a few seconds or minutes, would seem to suffice, or is the actual motion of the rollers up the shaft required. Starting with the rollers vertical seems to put enormous pressure within the chambers. There is a tendency for the penis to rotate because of the elliptical cross section of the penis. It's certainly easier simply use in the conventional orientation.

| Hi sorry for not getting back sooner ,had a long night last nite .Right to the questions,we are al learning about how to jelq. i dont think there is a right or wrong way to do it ,we are all individuals and as such we are all differant, while i cant say if jelqing vert. or horiz. with the rollers is dangerous or not ,i to have tried it and as you say great pump but very diff. to do as the old fella keeps slipping off or twisting. The best thing to do is "listen" to your body ,jelqing shouldnt be sore AT ALL if your doing something and its sore, stop, have a rest day when carry on,but take it easy. You will do more damage than good if you go at this hammer and nails, take it slow ,the gains will come.As i said only your body can tell you if your doing harm.Hey thanks for the questions any more replys are welcome.hope this answers your question in some way,i know we cant give definitive answers, but as i said we are all learning what works for some will not work for others and vicea versa. As for the method of jelqing i think the general consensus is that you need the motion of the rolers to move the blood around inside the penis, this way you dont fill your penis with deoxegenated blood, this is a bad thing a could damage the penis.by using the PJ or hand jelqing you are forcing fresh blood into the penis on every stroke, which will help repair restore and heal the penis. On no account should you forcably grip the penis tight in any way shape or form for longer than 30 seconds IMHO just grip your finger for 30 seconds then push down on it and see how long it takes for the "white" pressure mark to disappear.would you want your penis to be starved of oxygen like that?didnt think so. So take it easy everyone try new things, come back on here and post your finding ,everyone will be gratefull for new info, just remember to take it easy.if it hurts stop ,rest, recover then resume, good gains to all of you .........later |

| I noticed that after a few days of using the PJ your penis will become accustomed to the action and your skin will become used to it. I massage in some baby powder and then apply a little moisturizer, I havent had a slippage problem since and it also protects your skin. I noticed if I use one hand to grab onto my balls I can use the other by itself with the PJ. For the record I do it the normal way for about 20 minutes and then I use it the Vertical way for about 5-10. |

| Thanks for the questions.
The key to success is to find what works for you and to repeat it over a period of time, making modifications when necessary.
Some guys have found great results just doing the basic exercises many times, whereas others do vertical jelqinq, squeeze and hold type exercises, etc.
Also, everyone has different amounts of pressure used for jelqing. I prefer fewer short intense jelqs to several low intensity jelqs, but that's just my preference.
I think that the vertical jelqing is a growing trend, and I would like to add some routines (with pics and videos if possible) on these exercises. They certainly target the main chambers more effectively, and avoid pressure on the dorsal nerve. However, they can be a bit harder to get used to.
I will try to gather some more of the information and put together a routine as soon as I can.
Until then, please continue to let us know what works for you. Everyone can benefit from this.
Thanks,
Rob :p |

| Hi Rob,
Do you have any information on the dorsal nerve and the use of the power jelq?
I have been using off and on for a couple years but recently I have gotten serious with my practice and want to insure that I do not do any damage.
Thanks Wyatt |

| Basically the problem is not the dorsal nerve but the deep dorsal vein of the penis. This vein is the main vein that collects all the blood that has to go out of the penis. When the penis gets engorged with blood through sexual stimulation the fibrous sheath around the body of the penis cannot expand too much so it produces pressure on this vein and stops the blood from draining out. This causes the erection. So do take care of this precious deep dorsal vein because if it gets thrombosed you will get priapism - a painfull permanent erection, which if not relieved could kill the penis. |

I was under the impression that the nerve could die from too much pressure or overwork?
After working too hard too quick last year I created a surface buldge or hemmorhoid type vein near the head of my dick. Since then I have been extra careful how I use the PJ and any of the other exercises I do and have not had a problem.
I am getting some results from my routine so I must be doing something right.
I have the same concern about scar tissue from doing the exercises and or chemical hardening that I read about on another site. Seems like we are using a device or our hands to do the opposite of how the penis functions.
We are trying to squeeze blood into the penis but at the same time aren't we going against the mechanism the puts it in there?

| No, Jack, not really. The physiological way is to have the arteries open up under sexual stimulation and push blood into the chambers. In our way we help the chambers expand by increasing the blood flow through pressure of our hands or the JD |

| thanks adam, that makes sense but it seems to me that when you squeeze you are putting pressure on that aspect of your member that is supposed to keep the blood in. anyhow, the whole process is working for me so far. |
