I'd do it if she was really coming onto me. If that's the case, I'd eagerly jump in. For a woman to actively seek sex outside her marriage, I figure it's for one of two reasons...

• He's mistreating her despite her protests, and thus deserves to be betrayed.
• He doesn't know how promiscuous she is, which indicates that he married her without getting to know her first, thus trivializing the institution of marriage itself. If he doesn't consider marriage to be important, why does he mind her cheating?

Despite your harsh choice of words, I appreciate your concern. I do in fact mind being a home wrecker. But being considered a home wrecker when I'm not is something that I take offense to. I'll trivialize some more: If a married woman is actively seeking sex outside her marriage and hiding it from her husband, then there are two possible cases...

• The home was already wrecked by attitudes existing within the marriage.
• There was never a home to begin with, and the marriage was nothing more than the signing of a document and the passage of hollow vows.

I've never seen or heard of a woman cheating on her husband because she woke up thinking "You know what, today feels like a good day to spread my legs for a new man." Nor do they flip out and cheat simply because of an isolated argument about which slot in the silverware drawer the salad forks belong in. They cheat (as do men) for reasons pertaining to the lack of success of the marriage with diplomacy having failed, the fault being theirs or their partner's (it's almost invariably the fault of both parties, despite the attempts of each to portray his or her self as an innocent victim). For such a state to occur, both parties of the marriage must have broken, in whole or in part, the vows taken on the wedding day. At that point, the marriage is null and void, and any divorce procedure is merely a procedure asking the government to grant permission from to cheat on one's spouse (not very American).

I'll attempt to clarify my original statement by highlighting the fact that the scenario I mentioned was one in which a married woman was actively pursuing a sexual tryst with me. I have not experienced this, and I don't expect I will. I have not and will not, however, initiate a pattern of seduction with a married woman who is not clearly indicating her desire to find a new partner.

Do understand that I say these things with no intent to convey disrespect of any forum member (none of whom I know personally), and that I only express my opinion because I do in fact respect you enough to tell you what I really think. If I didn't, I wouldn't bother formulating a response, considering it to be a waste of time.Hell, it's a good way to get shot where I'm from, too. And I hate to play this card, but this country was founded by people who did what they had to do in spite of the fact that it was a "good way to get shot" by men in red jackets.
