Would using cocoa butter as a lubricant with the JELQ device mess the device up? Has anybody tried that?

I wouldnt recommend it. Coco butter is basically a lotion. Your better off using baby oil gel. Keeps it nice and luby. But the butter sounds nice for giving the cock a nice even tone though...

I've had good use with vaseline...works well when I jelq, sometimes even lotion does a good job, but have to keep re-applying it.
