Ok, in neither case would I say anything to the woman. Partly because I am not that close to any of my bestfriend's women. But in both cases I would say something to the man. I am a big believer in the idea that cheating is stupid, difficult to pull off and a waste of time. In the first case, I would ask him what he thought he was doing. If he is cheating, he either needs to figure out what is wrong with his relationship or break it off in favor of playing the field.
In the second case, I would let him know because if I were in his place, I would want to know. No matter how much it might hurt.
