| Creatine I have this doubt... i started to use Creatine 3 days ago and i'm in the loading phace.
My question is: Everytime i take the creatine there's some of it in the glass so i'm worried that i might not be taking the 5 grams and probably im just taking 3 or 4...
Is it ok if i pour the Creatine directly into my mouth and then swallow it with water to make sure i take the entire dose? |

| i'm not sure what kind, if any diverse side effects that creatine powder might have directly on soft tissue like the tongue or mouth, i just take the wieder pills, they work great for me, but i also am very fortunate to have a body that reacts very well to supplements. |

| Ok, It wont hurt you to put the creatine directly in your mouth. I will assure you that you wont like the taste of the creatine being on your tongue. Very BITTER!! Are you taking pharmaceutical grade or a mixture?? If you are taking straight pharm grade you might consider some crystal light singles. I wouldnt worry about the grits, not much is being lost. If you really want to conserve, then you should shake it or swirl it when it collects at the bottom.

| Thanks for all the replies!
Yes i used to shake it when it collected in the bottom but there was always some of it still in there that wouldn't want to go.
I don't care about the taste it's all cool. I have no problem with that. I'm taking creapure btw. |

| Creapure, thats I think thats pure monohydrate.... Anyway dont worry about the loss of creatine, it's only about a 1/4 of a gram usually (if its pharmaceutical grade) Some mixtures that arent pure, have alot of sugar and other pre-cursors that collect at the bottom. No WORRIES.

| I used to take it in highschool. I always put it straight in my mouth, took a huge gulp of water, mixed it in my mouth, and then swallowed. I never did it any other way. It was very effective back then, but I had enough adverse side effects that have convinced me not to take it again. |

| Creatine and adverse side effects are contributed to lack of water intake. If you dont drink enough water while taking creatine, you can have alot of things go wrong: cramps, dehydration, kidney damage, liver problems....and more problems associated with inadequate water intake.

| I took creatine before, but it makes your muscles look more "ballony" than ript. I prefere being ript all the year around and have stopped taking creatine eventhough I got good effects from it.
Do as 88man says, swirl the cup around and drink it quickly. |

Do as 88man says, swirl the cup around and drink it quickly. | Tke creatine ethyl esther, it won't bloat you but the taste will curl your toe nails so you might want caps. |

I didn't have any of those side effects (at least I hope). I had random nose bleeds, which never happen to me otherwise. I also had to pee a lot more often than normally. I got a lot stronger during the time I took it and no matter how hard I worked out I rarely ever felt fatigued. But if you're not trying to accomplish some specific athletic goal, I would recommend not taking it. |

| I'm trying to gain mass and lift heavier weights for that purpose.
I started to have some sort of "tinitus" (a tickling sound inside the ear) when i finalized the loading phase. Could this have any relation with creatine? I heard that tinitus can be triggered by vasoconstrictors or something like that. I dunno, maybe i'm unlucky enough to be the first one to get this side effect? |

| When I tried Creatine. It seemed the muscle would just retain more water giving a more pronounced look. When I stopped taking it. There was a slight diminishing effect. FYI |

| Yes Betterman, this is one of the purposes of creatine. TO Hydrate your muscles with water and nutrients, which gives more ATP.
