| Libido/Test/Circulation Issues Hey all. New to the forums and posted a few questions elsewhere but thought these would be more appropriate here. About six months ago I developed what would later be diagnosed as Peyronies Disease (PD). I developed it during a time of my life that was very stressful and I have no doubt that this anxiety was a major cause.
The stress levels have subsided somewhat but I'm noticing that my libido is lagging significantly. My erections as nowhere near as frequent as they were a few years ago (I'm 30 now) and while the desire to have sex is still there it seems much less strong. Part of this is probably due to the fact that I'm gunshy about having sex given the PD (I've only been with only girl since this happened). I can have intercourse OK but given the possibility of making the injury worse I do need to be careful (wild sex is out of the question for the time being).
Anyway, my biggest question revolves around how I might be able to up my libido in a natural and healthy way. I'm going to go back into the weight room soon and I know that squats in particular are very helpful. I'm also going to continue to look into supplements that might help. I'm on L-Arginine right now in addition to something called Pentox (for circulation), ALC and 25 mg nightly Viagra (Dr's orders...who am I to complain :)). I don't really want to take much more however.
The other question is related to circulation. Since contracting PD I'm more aware of how my unit looks and it doesn't seem to be quite as healthy as it should be (sometime a pale/very light blue or purple color). It also is cool to the touch at times (not cold but definitely not warm either). In addition, I sometimes get what is known as the "turtle effect" (think a turtle sticking its head back into its shell), typically when exercising.
None of this stuff is good and yet I'm a fighter and believe that I'm going through all this for a reason and to help out others by what I learn in the process. Anyway, I'd love any thoughts any of you might have. Thanks! |

| I think I'll refrain from falling. :)
I ordered a couple of books today off Amazon that are related to testosterone. I'll plan to share whatever I find out with the community here.
I'm also stoked to get back in the weight room soon and start cranking out squats. I remember reading a bunch of places that squats are one of the best things you can do to naturally increase test. |

| If you are wanting a big upper body, then LEGS are the way to go. You wont ever have a huge upper body without a good set of legs. Yes, workig the legs increases your test production and adds to the strength of your erections, leg extensions are good for erection power.

| I'm not so concerned with my overall body size (been there and done that in mid-20s). Rather I'm looking for overall health, increased test levels and better sexual health. It seems that squats (and perhaps leg extensions) are best. |

| Guys you can't get all reved up about heavy squats and leg exercises elevating your test levels through the roof. Yes, your testosterone levels ar up after doing heavy leg workouts but tests have shown (I will try to produce study) that levels are elevated for such a short duration that we can't get all excited about it.
I too beleive that strong legs are a solid base for overall strength but let's face it, you see the guys in the gym with big barrel chests and huge guns but legs are soooo scrawny they look like they are riding a chicken.
If you are really concerned I would just head to your doctor and get your levels checked. Nothing wrong with going on a persribed TRT (testosterone replacement therapy), you may feel like a new person. |

Talk to your doc about the following tests:
Total Tesosterone
Free Testosterone
Estradiol (E2)
DHT
LH/FSH
SHBG
Lipid profile
Additional tests you can ask for:
CBC
Comp metabolic panel
These tests should be able to tell your doc if your testosterone levels are low and why. |

| Yeah sonic, I have heard of the test production only lasting for a short period of time. But I have also read that with more developed/more size on the legs results in the overall increased production of TEST.

I speculate that the squats ability to spike test levels after exercize has nothing to do with muscle size and everything to do with total stress imposed on the body during exercize. Not many exercizes can stress the whole body as well as a good hard set of squats can... |
