| Mild testicular pain I need some feedback from you guys on something.
Back many months ago (maybe even a couple of years), I mentioned to my doctor that I was experiencing some mild testicular pain. There is little, if any, swelling. He did a visual observation and felt of them but did not seem to be too concerned. He didn't say anything else about the pain or offer any directions to me for alleviating the pain.
I suspect he didn't say anything more about it because 1) he may have a hangup about that sort of thing (which I don't know for sure but doubt) or 2) he felt there was nothing to worry about (this is what I am more inclined to believe). I don't know; maybe it's me being the one who has the hangup. But either way, I'm still having to endure the pain. It's mostly a dull ache but sometimes if I move the wrong way or accidentally put pressure on either or both of them, the pain is more pronounced. Naturally, I'm trying to be as careful as I can.
Have any of you guys experienced this problem? If so, what did you have to do to fix it? I've been wondering whether ill fitting underwear could be the culprit. I just know that I've put up with this about as long as I can put up with it and am ready to get something done. Any input on this will be appreciated.
Regards,
-guitardude |

| I've had times when for whatever reason one of my testicles gets really, really sensitive and hurts even to tough. But it just goes away on it's own over the course of the day and I'm fine. Never a chronic pain though......

| I only know of the pain from "Blue Balls" or "Stone Ache" however this is caused by sperm pressure when aroused and not able to relieve or even not letting enough go after sex, some kind of semenal back pressure. Maybe cause you're a big dude (for now) there is some kind of pressure from your weight but I doubt it.
If the pain is chronic I would seriously see a urologist. You may have a condition where your tubes from your testes are twisted or out of sorts, I forget the medical term. Either way you don't want to screw around with it or I wouldn't, my boys are very imortant to me. |

| Ya know Dude? I'm thinking it may be caused by poor circulation in your groin area from the weight and from your underwear holding you too tight. Try this;
In the evening, take a hot washcloth and warm up as you would proir to PE only on your balls. Do about a 10 minute warm up keeping the washcloth as hot as you can, see if this helps in reducing the ache.

It's certainly worth a try before making an appointment with a urologist. Sonic, I think the term they use for that condition is called "torsion". I'll start today and give it a week or two and see what happens. But if it doesn't yield a noticeable change in 2 weeks, I'll probably see a urologist.

| If you don't notice any swelling I would not think you have a Torsion problem. However, I would not screw around with this. A friend of mine and I were at the Gym working out and he was doing Cardio and riding a bike. He actually did twist a vien (Torsion) and had to go and have an operation to correct it. So if the warming up doesn't help get to the doctor! If it does help, then I say still get to the doctor because there is a problem.

| guitardude, I had a patient who had the same problem. His parents took him to all the urologists they could think of to no avail. When he came to visit me I could find nothing wrong with his testicles. (By the way, Torsion is not chronic. It is a surgical emergency or you might lose your ball through necrosis). On examination I found that he had a pinched nerve on the Sacro-Iliac joints in the lower back. I gave him a course of long acting diclofenac sodium, and he was healed permanantly. Please do check your lower back. |

I'm still experiencing the pain and it's looking like the hot washcloth approach is not doing what I had hoped it would. If I don't get some kind of answer about this from my regular doctor, I think I'll try to find another one. Do you practice Internal Medicine or are you a specialist? |

| Hi guitardude, did your testicle pain get any better? Have you gone to your doctor? Have you tried Diclofenac 100mg at bedtime daily for 10 days? As an andrologist I am very interested in this problem and would like to get your response please. |

| adamander,
I've been working a lot lately and haven't had the time to go to the doctor about the issue. I'll send you a PM to discuss this further.
Thanks,

| Hey guys,
Here's what I know so far on the scrotal pain: I went to the urologist Friday of last week and he examined my testicles and prostate. Prostate was normal but the balls were still sore (to light pressure) even though there were no discernable lumps on them. I mentioned something about a pinched nerve to the urologist, but he hasn't done anything along that realm yet.
The urologist drew some blood and is supposed to be scheduling me for an ultrasound soon. I hope some of this stuff yeilds the culprit of this pain.

| Me too! A new forum member I have exactly these symptoms. Thanks - I have access to declofenac (spelling?) so I will give it a go starting tonight. With thanks Adamander.
I was pretty stupidly bending into the shower cubicle washing my hair when on the way back up I had a real sharp pain in my lower back. This was a week ago and the pain in my back has eased but is still nagging. Not long after I became aware of a dull aching pain in my left scrotum which whilst not acute is pretty uncomfortable, particularly later in the day. Had a hot bath a did the self-examination and there didn't appear to be any abnormal lumps.
Saw the GP yesterday but he couldn't really do a decent examination because I was hopping about so much due to the tenderness! I'm off to see a Urologist on 7th July. |

| This could be epidamytis(sp?) which would require antibiotics or a urinary tract infection, I *think* kidney stones is a possibility, or much more unlikely an STD and even more unlikely cancer.
You should get an ultrasound from your GP and a referal to a urologist, there is no reason at all why you shouldn't see a urologist.
