| I have a question to everyone...
Im around 205 and 5'10". I've been working out the past two months and dropped from 220 so far, and have a goal of 190. My diet consist of eggs, chicken wraps, creatine, whey, tuna and thats pretty much it. I try to run 3miles a day and do some abs right before bed. Are there any tips to losing these last 15lbs straight from the gut.

You've dropped 15lbs in 2 months which sounds healthy and reasonable so by early summer you should be at 190. Only advice I can add is make sure you don't eat any carbs past about 7:00pm, drink lots of water and keep up your running/cardio. You cannot spot reduce so losing specifically from your abs is unrealistic and as I hae explained to 10 before as you get older men are genetically predisposed to keeping fat on the abdominals so stay at it. You could also throw in a fat burner, I like Lipo6 as it has worked well for some guys I know who use it as well as Hydroxycut hardcore. Be aware that you will have a fair bit of water weight because of the creatine as well.
Keep up the good work!! |

| Speaking of belly fat, I do have a bit around my mid section..............nothing at all bad but I've got it and it's something I've accepted as being par for the course at my age (37). I eat very well, exercise religiously and 2 weeks ago when I got this nasty stomach bug, I lost 10 freakin' pounds. Now I'm standing at 6'2'' and weigh in at 193.
I've actually cut the cardio out of my workout routine just for the month of April to sort of get a little bit more muscle mass working. I'd have to say that I don't look shabby for my age :)
In fact, I just went and benched 225 again this morning...........which for my size is damn good.

Anyway, as others have said, there's no way to lose fat from a specific area. |

| Hey there, I did my personal workout plan what do you think about it? Im into bodybuilding but I found out about yoga and I stopped bodybuilding for a while. I have to restart although I´ve been going to the weight room about three days a week to do a full body routine (three sets of 15 reps each per body part..... quads, pecs, biceps, triceps, etc.) with so little weight (i was injured in the knee and shoulder). Im better now. I would be glad if you could help me do any modifications in my workout. Thanks.

- Proper technique - Guys, a trainer is worth there weight in gold (if you get a good one). If you are serious about getting in shape or reaching a goal, hire one for a few sessions. Just to learn proper form and basics or periodizations and progression will near tripple your rate of progression and also prevent long term damage from improper tecqniue and form.
- supplements - If it isnt FDA approved, then be careful. Creatine has a VERY minor and specific effect ( not FDA approved BTW). Learn to read the labels and research studies. Most supplements out there dont give any real advantage. Stick to a good multivitamin, fish oil, and calcium. Thats all you really need. You dont even need a protien supplement unless you are VERY active or dont eat much meat.
More to come later (back to work) | I too am a strength coach, just joined btw. I will say this (I haven't read any other post of his here than this one)...this guy gives great info. Not often you can say that about a fellow strength coach or trainer. Everything he says here is exactly on line with what a good trainer shoudl be thinking.
I also agree that the CSCS is the best cert out there, but it is what you learn after you get certed that counts. |
