| newbee routinee...... hi all
I apologise in advance if this has already been discussed a zillion times on here, but I just need some advice on how often I should be using the Jelq device.
Ive done about 3 sessions of about 100 reps each every 2nd day so far, but Im still lost on how often I should be using it per week.
any advice?
cheers. |

| I use JD every session. Normally have 4-5 sessions per week and 1 or 2 rest days per week |

My advice would be to start on the Newbie Routine. You need to condition.
The Jelq device is a very intense tool to start out with and could easily lead to injury without the proper conditioning. Do the routine as written and cut your JD reps down to 50 for the first 3 weeks. Then increase the reps by 10, each week.
Don't be in a hurry, this is a long process.

| I'd take JPs advice and I've been at this stuff for quite a while now and have just gone back to jelqing. I only do 100 each morning to start the day and probably won't go too far past that in a single session (basically because I've got to be at work by 8am). Be safe and enjoy... |

| how do you do a proper kegel? I tried doing it once and it just seemed completely awkward and felt it didn't really do anything. I think you are supposed to squeeze your butt cheeks and get blood into the penis, but it was hopeless. I couldn't do 1 properly, let alone 500.
and a 8 - 10 mins warm up with a wash cloth seems excessive.
I dont have a great deal of time left in the day, so is there a way to get hold of a shorter routine? |

| I believe it's the same flex as when you stop urination. Would you squeeze your butt-cheeks together to halt peeing? I don't. When the doctor asks you to cough and checks if your balls lift, I believe he's looking to see if you can kegel. Only when you learn to kegel, neither squeezing your butt cheeks or coughing will be necessary.. :) |

I don't have a great deal of time left in the day, so is there a way to get hold of a shorter routine? | 8-10 is barely enough. I never start a pe session with less than 15 min. of warm up, but I usually warm up for 20 min. Also, this stuff is time consuming in general, which is one reason why consistency is a hurdle for many people. But to make up for that, you could just focus only on either length or girth rather than doing both. That would cut down on your time commitment and help you build momentum, which will make it easier to find more time and expand in the future. The key is to do some level of work very regularly (i.e. stretch for a given amount of time every single day without fail). Also, you can consider incorporating the use of the PM device and/or hanging, which allows you to do other things simultaneously with PE. Of course if privacy is a problem too, then this strategy may not be feasible. |

| I think ill give hanging a miss, I dont get any privacy at all and I hear hanging weights does more harm than good.
Do you have to do lig strethes everyday or just before using the device?
also, 15 mins of warm up, then lig strething (approx 5-10 mins) and then Jelq device (10-15 mins) that could be around 40 mins for a penis workout which would be hard to fit in my schedule. What about a 5 min warm up, 5-10 min stretching and 10 min with device? |

| Hey all just joined betterman 2 seconds ago. tons of stuff here and really trying to take it all in. Known about Pe'ing for quite awhile now and just started to be serious 4 weeks ago. I've had some hurtle's already and had to take the last 4 days off for a few reasons. had a few questions...
1.) just got the JD and not really sure how to use it..anywhere i can see instructions and videos?
2.) also should i do my routine 5 days straight and nothing at all for 2 days straight? |

| I could be wrong, but I dont think you need a 20 min warm up session. Maybe do it after a warm shower..
or heat a washcloth and then do some light stretches. I would think thats enough. |

| As with any exercise, what really matters is that you ease yourself into each workout. Since I also have a tight schedule, I take a slightly different approach to warming up. I do the hot wash-cloth thing for at least 5 mins ( I litterally time it with a stopwatch to make sure I don't do less that 5 mins) I then do 2 or 3 sets of 30 slow "cranks" in each direction with helicopter shakes in between each set. I then take an "active warm-up" approach by basically going right into wet jelqs but I slowly work up the pressure of my grip and also slowly work up the pulling I do at the glans on each jelq. It's no different than lifting weights; you do a couple of light "warm-up" sets before piling on more weights. JP's newbie routine is awesome, but whether you have the time to do it all down to every detail or not, you gotta make sure you always stick to what I find to be the basic tenets of the routine: ALWAYS WARM UP, KNOW/LEARN YOUR LIMITS WHILE EXERCISING AND ALWAYS DO A WARM DOWN. It all boils down to achieving success at PE by avoiding injury and stimulating recovery. I only have 30 mins a day to devote to PE, and by ensuring a thorough warm-up, proper technique and a warm-down, I find that it's working for me. I've been doing it for a good 6 weeks now and I've gotten nothing but great feedback from my W.M.P. Rome was not built in a day. Be patient & safe and the rest will slowly but surely unfold before your eyes. |

I especially agree with you on the Warm Up-Warm Down sessions. Just today I got more red spots than normal and I think it was due to improper warm up. The thing is I thought ballooning would give me enough warm up but I was wrong!
