That is interesting lifted ,what is your bodyweight? Also that plane, -pulling down from overhead ,do you practise it?
Waist development is also interesting. Way back, when bodybuilders didn't look like clones, I used to compare Zane and Bertil Fox. Vastly different bodies, while they both had good ab development, you centainly couldn't have swaped them. So the abs have to fit the body.

I have a ways to go to get the six pack. I have a shadow six pack that seems to be developing from the linea alba. I can see it in the moning, i can feel the defination underneath that stupid layer of fat left to go.

the other day Friday tobe exavt i poulled a ab muscle in the right lower quadrant, very painful it made it hard tostand or sit, or lay down. I think i got it from over working the abs at the gym doing "planks."

The bodies of body builders are ugly to me these days, steroid freeks and just plain ick! Gone are the good ol' days of Frank Zane and Jack colombo and of course Arnold.

Lets be real a little belly fat, not much, is really sexy!

Do you mean Franco Colombu? Interesting both he and Zane never weighed that much.
Think Zane maxed out around 190lb and Franco maybe 200lb or less. Three very different bods.

Columbu was also an accomplished powerlifter. His official bests are:

Bench Press: 520 lbs
Squat: 655 lbs
Deadlift: 750 lbs
Clean and Jerk: 400 lbs

Considering that he usually competed at under 200 lbs, these are some awesome lifts!

Columbu was a good boxer also.
Zane was a uni professor. Saw some pictures of zane many years after he retired he looked almost the same. Many of the previous generations of bodybuilders looked good into old age. The present generation will be lucky to survive to it.

Alright guys, time for some bitching and complaining: I went to the gym today after a 4 day break, all excited and psyched up to start phase II of my new training regimen and to my horror....the very section of the gym where I can get my workouts done, is closed for repairs until Friday. Sonofabitch!!!

True. I did see some pics of Zane from a couple of years ago and he was doing some advanced Yoga poses, looking fit and HEALTHY.

Today's pros are basically freaks living on borrowed time. I would NEVER, EVER wanna look like one of those animals. Looking like Zane? That would be quit neat, but NEVER like today's body-builders.

Don't feel bad a ate a billion calories Sunday. 3 almond danish's, and two pints of Haagendaaz. Once in a while it is OK to cheat.

Think Zane took the greek ideal we spoke of earlier to a new level.
My GF says I eat a billion calories every day. Not rubish mind, just good wholesome food and lots of it, er um also the odd bottle of wine.
This wasn't a problem till I got a less active job. So I have to pay more attention to the cardio type things and watch the amount I eat. What makes the diet hard is that my background was always trying to gain weight. Be carefull what you wish for!

As I am not trying to gain size/weight, I have devised a westside style variant for a strength cycle. This style of training was originated from powerlifting, so I had to modify it and of course the weights will be a lot less.
Anyway, I was talking with a powerlifter at the gym about it. All of a sudden he says "Of course you old guys should just do Yoga". Sonofabitch.

People at my job are amazed at how much food I put away in a day. I eat ALL day long. And most of them are women and I always hear "if I ate that much in a day, I'd be as big as a house"............and the sad thing is, most of the ones who make that comment already are the size of a house............

Thank you for your input Tz. It is great to see a woman make a statement on this thread. I think a lot of women would agree with you, re the height, weight, chest and penis size. This would be an athletic guy, with some muscle on, the waist seems a little wasp waisted, but hey. The arms of course would be those of a full on bodybuilder and disproportionate. There are however lot of guys in gyms everywhere, building this style body.
Not my style, but then to each there own.

Got to thinking when I last had a 34" waist. Now I am 6'1" ,I would have weighed 165-175lb and circa 45" chest. I was extreamly lean. A lot of my training was strength exercises squats, deadlifts, powercleans etc.
This was a functional body for sport. I had a 14" arm. Strength training ,increases the muscle in the lower back and oblique muscles, this thickens the waist. Bodybuilder type arms, require a lot of isoliated arm work ,which may not help your strength or athleticism.

someone with the measurements southern tz listed would look very strange at 6'2". They would have to weigh at-least 220. I dont even come close to fitting those odd measurments.

6'2"
165 lbs
41" chest
14" arms
32" waist
8.75" penis

I dont think height should be included in the ideal male body because you can still have the ideal male body if your 5'5" or 6'5", its all about function. It also seems the the ideal male body is more strong then fast instead of being equally good at both. wow 18-20 inch biceps are huge, my high school coach had 18" biceps was 6'7" and weighed 240 and his arms still looked giant compared to his body. Pegasus brings up a good topic about the true athleticism of bodybuilders!!!

Yes Doner, other people may have a concept of ideal we find strange. But vive la difference. I would say you are fairly proportinate.
To weigh that little with big arms, you would have to have pencil legs. So a guy with pencil legs, no core muscle, some upperbody muscle and huge arms. You would find examples in gyms everywhere. Not what I am about and your dick is too big anyway. But if TZ is into that ,she is into that.
Men often ask for unreasonable breast size, or whatever, from women.
Actually I think everything except the arm size, is quite reasonable. The waist is a little small perhaps, but if she had said a 16" arm it would have all made sense to me.
Course I am into athleticism and that is a different thing. Strength , stamina, spirit ,skill.speed and stretchability. Or if you prefer Shin,Gi,Itai.

Got to thinking when I was a teenager and did weights the first time round.
Back then I weighed 140lb and had to think about what I wanted to look like eventually.
I came up with some measurements which I kept for many years.
Of course I don't have them now, but from memory, they went like this.
Neck 17" ,arms 16", chest 45 or 46" ,waist 34", legs 24 or 25", calves 15.5" weight 200 to 210lb.
Something like the greek ideal really, not bad for the imagination of a teenager.
