Ideal male body

apart from having a huge dick, what else can we agree on?

personally I think its got more to do with functionality, if you can do 50+ pushups , lift your own bodyweight without much trouble, and run a few miles without breathing heavy, your probably in the condition you should be.

anyone subscribe to the school of thought of extreme muscle mass or total leaness?

Depends on where you live, your culture, financial position, your lifestyle and of course your own genetics. My culture, lifestyle and country allows me to have a 245lb frame at about 13% bodyfat and maintain or add to and I enjoy bodybuilding because I look at it as a sport. If I were in a banana republic or living in a ghetto type setting or even living in a secluded area/town then i might not have that pleasure and it certainly wouldn't be to my advantage for survival or to preform at a higher level.

I combine body-weight exercises and weights with healthy amounts of cardio. I'm 34 now so muscle does not come as easy as when I was 19. I'm basically training to live a healthy life, where I can keep a full-time job, stay active, and keep my ability to get rock-hard boners so I can give it to my girlfriend as long and as hard as she wants whenever she wants. I'm not concerned with bodyfat % or anything like that. As long as I'm managing to keep a slim-athletic build while being able to indulge on some Pizza and Burritos here and there and not have to buy pants larger than a size 30, I'm on the right track.

Yeah, I totally agree with you Sonic. (Oh and 245 lbs!! that is big! and only 13% body fat!! Congrats man! I bet you've been through a lot to get to that point, of course, as in PE, when you see the results you are more and more motivated!! =)...)
Dzudi: Of course being capable of doing all those things is nice but I do think aesthetics count also. Not just functionality. Why have only one when both is better?
Personally I train for triathlons, I'm a little into bodybuilding (it is impossible to grow BIG muscles while in triathlon training), and I am into Bikram Yoga (loving it!!!).
By the way W.M.P. , I just read in your other post that something important for you is to keep the blood circulating "correctly", and now you say you want to keep your ability to get rock-hard erections you should try Bikram Yoga.
I know now I might sound as a spammer! LOL, but I am really excited about Bikram Yoga right now. I can tell you, triathlon training and bodybuilding give me about 10% of the benefits I get from yoga, I'm not kidding. I dare bodybuilders and resistance athletes to try one of those classes, you will not be able to walk the next day!

Now that's the skinny. I like your philosophy. If I try to be more than moderate. I end up thinking what I'm doing is a chore, instead of doing the task for basic enjoyment with benefits.

I've done some Ashtanga with a good friend of mine who is a pro and I totally agree that any kind of "physically challenging" yoga is absolutely amazing just like you described. If I had the extra $$ and time I would sign up at a local studio. Maybe next year when I start med school (where I won't have to worry about keeping a job!!), I'll have the time. Plus, when it comes to yoga, the amount of super hot women with an appetite for 5hr-long sex marathons is quite a fringe benefit of joining a yoga studio.

Now, when it comes to sexual stamina, I must say that swimming is by far the BEST. It's the closest thing to Viagra but without the nasty side-effects. About 2 years ago, I went back to the pool to do some laps 3 times a week or so, just for ole' time's sake (I swam competitively for about 7 yrs and just LOVE being in the water). About 2 weeks into it, I remember going to see a "fuck-buddy" I had and let me tell you, I banged her like a madman, came like such, pulled out to take the condom off and was STILL as hard as right before I went inside her and could've easily put on another condom and given her some more. Usually, by the time I come, because of wearing a condom, I've lost a bit of hardness. That day, I was SOLID AS A ROCK AND THROBBING!!. I could've easily put on another condom and pound her brains out...but swimming jacks up your appetite too, so by the time I came, all I could think about was those 7oz. Sirloin burgers they sold down the street from her.

That's right. I train to be able to enjoy life, and starving myself in order to see 6-pack abs does not fit within my deffinition of enjoyment. Some people are naturally leaner than others. I'm naturally slender but not naturally "cut". I was super lean back when I swam competitively during my late teens/early 20's, but that was because #1:You burn a billion calories during swim practice and #2: My GH and Testosterone levels were at their peak because of a thing called YOUTH. These days I can't be "cut" without being miserable. I'd rather be slender and enjoy myself with some sporadic visits to Gino's Pizza, Burritoland and Ben & Jerry's while also having plenty of energy to bang my girl till she losses her sense of space and time.

Personally, I like myself FIT rather than FAT. This time last year I was an overweight, lethargic man in his 40's. I didn’t stand out in a crowd at all. I was the typical middle-aged man.

For health reasons, I had to change my lifestyle. I went off the deep end, totally overhauling my eating and exercise habits. If anyone tells you that you can’t make a change in your appearance and health, I say "Bullshit". It’s all in the amount of discipline you have. And I don’t want to hear “I have bad knees or I have an old college injury”. With the proper exercise routine, you can work around that and even reverse it. I had a weak ankle and two bad knees and now I feel like a kid again. It's all nutrition! Feed it… it will heal!

If you asked me the question “Ideal Male Body” two years ago I would have had to look at a Brad Pit or Vin Diesel to suggest what I would like to look like. Now THEY want to look like me!!! LOL (just kidding).

I don’t think I will go to the extreme muscle mass end of the spectrum, but defined with muscle group separation definitely looks better than large with no definition. I am very proud of what I have accomplished and I finally have the ideal image of what I should have looked like all of my life. I wish I would have built this body in high school or even when I was in the Army. Can you imagine the trim I would have been getting? I can imagine because I'm getting plenty of action now… now that the girls know what’s under my loose fitting shirt! NICE. Fit definitely gets you more looks than fat. Now all I need to do is stay here with you guys and build that BIG DICK and the package will be complete!

Look at these pictures and ask me again which way I prefer. I am attaching two pictures. One has a before and after that shows the beginning (May 4th to July 25th), I lost from 192 to 165. The second picture is after a 13 week DVD program that was ultra-intense. Not bad for a 42 yr old dude! Dropped from a size 36 to size 30 jeans.
Stay fit guys… it helps your self esteem and will allow you to live a long and healthy life.

Boys, don't let me get off on these types of rants! ha ha... I could go on for hours!

Thanks guys. People tell me that the guy on the left looks old enough to be my dad or something. I am elated at my progress. Plus, since I haven’t done some type of "Fad Diet" or a simple program, I know I can keep this tone for the rest of my life unless something tragic happens. I love my new lifestyle and all the comments/compliments the ladies are giving me.

Honestly, I like to look at men like John Cena, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Vin Diesel, LL Cool Jay, Mark Wahlburg, etc... I think you get the picture. BUT, I didn't limit myself to guys that look like that, if a guy was in decent shape(Hostile, you're lookin' good) and had a good personality, I wouldn't have said no(I will now, I'm married), and if he was awesome in bed, it didn't matter if he had a less then perfect body To me, my husband has the ideal male body(hell, he's the ideal male, period, to me), and I'm not just saying that because I'm supposed to.

So guys, don't hurt yourselves trying to become something you may not be able to, not all can be built like the guys I listed above. Hey, as long as you are healthy and happy with the way you look, and you feel good to yourself, you will not be lacking when it comes to female attention. Self confidence goes a long way to adding to a guy's over all appearance and appeal to (some, can't speak for all) women.

Well Min's, a ladie's 2 cents are always appreciated. See, the thing that most women out there don't know about guys that look like J Cena, ect, is that they go to extremes in order to look like that, such a steroids, GH, ect. Steroid use is rampant these days, It's not limited to those massive guys you see in body-building magazines. Guys who are super cut while still keeping a nice "pump", guys who have a nice amount of muscle with a moderate amount of bodyfat who in 2 weeks suddenly show up at the beach "shredded", ...the list goes on. It's waaaaaay more common these days than ever before, specially nowadays with the so-called "designer steroids." A guy like Hostile looks (at least to me) like he's doing things the right and honest way. I was shredded when I was a lot younger (I'm 35 now), but things change. These days, if I want to be shredded, I would have to cut my calorie intake so much that I would end up loosing muscle, strength and last but not least, testosterone...and that' just not a good deal for me or my girl. My girl used to date a guy who was all buff and shredded (not to mention 10 yrs younger than me); the dude is the quintessential "All American Beefcake". The first time I fucked her, when we got done, I stood up on the bed like a crazed, sweaty demon and she litteraly collapsed in front of me, holding on to my knees, laughing & tearing, her eyes wide open; between the teary laughter and moans, she couldn't even put words together for a good 5 mins. I had just made furious love to her for a solid 45mins; and when I say "furious", I mean at an all-out pace for that whole time. She told me the only times she had experienced that kind of intensity, was at the very last minute or so, when the guy was about to come. She said that not even in her wildest dreams did she ever imagine something like that could be possible. Now, I know that for some women that might be too much. Luckily for both of us, she prefers to get it on "deep, hard & fast" for as long as possible and I've always had the ability to provide that for as long as I can remember. Now, knowing what it would take for me to get shredded in terms of dieting, I would've never been able to do that. Why? LOL, Awesome post, W.M.P And to the beginning of it, that is why I said I like to look at those types of guys but not necessarily do anything with The one guy that I was with that was cut and could be compared to someone like Cena was a bit disappointing, to put it nicely And even though my husband isn't cut like he was app. 10 years ago, he still gets me going when he takes his shirt off(of course, it could also be because I know what he can do to me).

I never thought it was mocking; just wanted to know what you meant. As you can imagine, emails and such leave a lot to the imagination in terms of tone and intention. And if it had been meant in a mocking way, I can take a jab like a man and laugh at myself in the process. A man who can't take a jab, should be made aware that he needs to work on something other than developing his muscles and schlong...such as working on developing a thick skin and a healthy sense of humor

Anyways, I must tell you that, as a man who goes to the gym and all that jazz, I've found that guys who have these "Fitness cover model" bodies are so obsessed with looks that they're just clueless to what a woman really wants when all is said and done. I love working out and eating healthy, but I wouldn't skip a beat if I had to miss a workout in order to spend some quality time with my girl (in and out of bed) and join her in some pleasurable eating of tasty junk. My main thing is that as long as I don't have a gut, I'm on the right track. As long as I keep a fairly flat stomach, that means I'm staying healthy. I always tell my girl, that while others train for sports or to just look ripped and what not, my reason for training is to be able to pound away deep inside her peach like an animal for many years to come. Plain and simple. I train to fuck her like it's the end of the world.

Holy crap. I just read this entire thread. Been away for the past couple of days.

W.P.M.-I LOVE your posts brother. Damn! And I also love the "Weapon of Merciless Pounding" acronym. Fucking nice brother!

Now onto my reponse to all of this. For those of you that don't know, I'm 37 1/2 and on the quick slide to the big 40. I have been weight training hard for the past 3 years. I have what I consider to be a great body for a 37 year old dude. I'm not shreaded or even ripped like my buddy Hostile is BUT, I do have some great definition. I'm 6'2'' and weigh in at 193...............I'm not a huge dude...........except between my legs (ok, just large, not huge ;)

I work out and hit the weights because my looks and body have always been important to me. And, because I want to be able to give it to my lady just like W.P.M. apparently does (damn brother, your girl must walk funny afterward LOL). I also share W.P.M's dietary position. I eat really fuckin' healthy Monday-Friday.............I mean sickeningly healthy. Saturday is my "cheat" day where I indulge and eat some naughty stuff but I keep it all in proper moderation. In other words, I don't get the gallon carton of Dreyers out of the freezer and feed away.

And I do agree with Sonic regarding genetics and such. I've tried for years to get the 6 pack and I've come to the conclusion that I just don't have the right body type for that particular look. It's ok, I'm properly proportioned and look damn good. Then again, when you really watch and monitor your diet, hit the gym hard and consistently for 5 days per week, you're going to get great results.

And since I've been doing PE for nearly 4 consecutive years now, I get boners that are harder than cement baby! So, thanks to my own consistent efforts with diet & exercise, my own interest in body building and my desire for a big dick, I've got what I consider to be my "perfect" package. And, I've got a new lady interested in me so that just adds to the excitement!!

Thanks for the compliment Min’s. Nice to see someone other than my girl likes my hard work.

To comment on what W.M.P. eluded to, No, I do not and have never “Juiced”. This is plain ole fashion sweat and sacrifice. I really hope to inspire others. Everyone can attain their fitness goals with the right knowledge and dedication.

Thanks to the helpful people on the forum at bodybuilding.com (sorry JonPop, you can remove that shameless plug if need be) I was able to formulate a balanced nutritional intake along with quality supplements like Creatine Ethel-Ester, Whey Protein, NOS and a good recovery drink. I was able to balance my body’s chemistry and nutritional needs, along with the correct aerobic/resistance exercises to achieve the results I desired.

I didn’t do this for any chick… I didnt do it to show off (although I DO NOW!)... I did it for my health. I really didn’t think I could achieve what I did… it just started out so well and kept improving until one day I looked in the mirror and LOVED what I saw. I am on the path of the straight and narrow now and I have a girl that enjoys my hard work and encourages me to continue and doesn’t make fun of me when I eat weird or wake up early on the weekends to “Fuel the Mo Sheen”. She reaps ALL the benefits, if you know what I mean!

Here is a question for the forum.
Never mind looks for a moment, what sort of fitness level should an average joe seek. Especially as he ages. Personally I am happy with my strength, but having a think about what kind of cardio I want to achieve.
As often happens I am not impressed with the sports science on this. According to the stats,the average 40 something, is able to jog along at a decent pace for a couple of mile. Well I don't think so. Most 20 somethings would find this hard. Unfortunatly, this leaves me not knowing what is a reasonable aim.

Running is real good for several things. It helps you stay trim. And its good cardio exercise. And it also gives you more endurance when your fucking.

True. In fact, in terms of lifting, I ALWAYS have better workouts when I've been staying on top of my cardio. Jump Rope, Stairmaster and Treadmill are what I do most of the time. My opinion is it all really depends on your activities you enjoy, if you participate in sports, and you are already "healthy" then do cardio that relates to that activity. If you are not into anything that active, such as sailing (which is still hard work), then doing proper cardio to maintain fat levels would be waranted. Such as 2 days of treadmill work, a day of swimming and two days of interval training, which is ultimate for fat loss.

I personally enjoy rowing. Eventually, I want to live by some water, like the movie NoteBook. Until then my WaterRower will have to suffice.
