So I ordered the device, got it in the mail, but they don't send you a manual? Nothing to tell you how to use it? Ok I realize it's pretty simple, but actually at the same time it's not. So many questions which are not answered:

Do I use both hands on the handles? Do I hold the penis and if so where do I hold it? The tip of the penis or the base of the penis? And when I use it, do I roll it over or do I roll and pull? And do I stop at the start of the head or do I go over the glands too?

No wonder some people got hurt using this thing. It looks simple, but this is obviously not like using your hand, so I would like to know the method.

Grab it with both hands, and jelq from the base of your dick to the glans. It takes a few tries to get the rhythm down but you'll get the hang of it..............guarantee it. The rollers, by the way, do not roll, they glide up your shaft. Use plenty of lube.

Dont squeeze down to tightly when pulling. Give your dick time to get used to the blood being pushed into it. later when youve conditioned it you can press firmer when pulling.

very roughly, how would you compare the effectiveness of manual jelq hand techniques vs the jelq roller device?

I have the device.. and both hands :)

I am a newbie, as I never got to using the device due to girls power-jelqing me for the last few years (hehe) but now i have higher goals and it is never late for anybody to upgrade eh?

So , any rough estimates by the specialists?

I intend to warm up and etc, sounds like a sound and safe plan... i don't know how easy it is to get injuries or long term ligament tearing blah blah...

Enlighten me please.

I have done both and can only tell you that it's just best to strike a nice balance between manual jelqs and using the device. Thing is that using the device and then comparing it to hand-jelqs is gonna be a different experience for each individual. Some guys have sworn off hand-jelqs in favor of the JD, some guys have done the opposite and some (like me) have found that it's best to do both. First thing I advise you to do is to take a step back and refocus on what's important right now, which is to take your time honing your skills until you learn proper technique. Once you learn to do both ways of jelquing properly, then you'll be able to make an solid assessment based on your own experience.

Can someone go wrong easily? or its hard to achieve some bad result? I know about newbie spots etc... the normal side-effects of a starter.

As long as you take your time and take a slowly-but-surely approach, then you should have no issues with the JD. I find that the very device has its own way of letting you know to slow down and pay attention, which is by basically having your cock slip out of the device. Just make sure to keep a pliable semi-erection, use plenty of lube and practice your technique one stroke at a time.

W.M.P. has given you some incredibly sound advice here bro. I've been solely using the Jelq device for the past 4 years as my ONLY form of jelqing. I cannot tell you how awesome I personally think this product is. I've gotten bitchen results from it's usage..........in my opinion, it blows manual hand jelqing out of the water..........but remember, this is strictly my opinion and every guy as W.M.P. pointed out is different and goes with what works best for him.

If your not used to using it, take is VERY slow at the onset. This thing exerts alot of pressure to the penis and if your not conditioned, you can easily get injured. Slow and steady, lots of lube and maybe some good porn and your set.

I saw the updated 40-60% erect optimal numbers in the other thread. I will go slow and stead and do lots of reps daily.

I am very glad for the brief honest and detailed responces.

I hope i get some real results in a couple of months that are permenant.

Does anyone know what those clicking sounds are in the top view video? I am hoping it is background noise and not the noise the JELQdevice makes.

It could very well be the jelq device. Mine's been known to make clicking sounds at times.
