Unfortunately, it is not that simple. If parents are not stressing the importance of a good education to their children, then it is not very reasonable to expect children to be interested in education either. Certainly there are children who do have parents who stress the value of a good education that do not do well in school. But most children who do poorly in school have uncaring parents regarding education.
