Dark Human Nature

I was pondering last night, from a family matter that I attended yesterday. It occured to me that all humanity has a inherit nature for self-destruction due to making bad decisions. This follows the Id, Ego, Superego notion. Of how people either consciously or unconsciencely sabotage their own lives. From Presidents, to the person very much in need, the tendancy is common. I find that every day each person should evaluate their lives, of where they are and where they want to be in the future and steer toward that idea or goal. If this isn't done on a daily basis, we turn into "a leaf on the pond."

From a spiritual veiwpoint. This earthly realm is ruled by the darker side of human nature. I state this from looking at the history of Man, and how throughout history, Man has chosen the less appealing qualities to portray. Which brings forth great attrocities.
