Since the Internet boom, countless Web sites, companies and blogs have claimed that exercises like the “jelq” can make your penis bigger and harder. As crazy as it may seem, thousands of men have anecdotally reported that penis exercises do work, although not as effectively as the companies claim (Add four inches in two weeks. Who are they kidding?)<br />
<br />
The jelq is considered the cornerstone of penis exercising. The origin of the exercise is unknown, although some speculate it is an ancient Middle Eastern exercise. According to author Gary Griffin, Sudanese Arab fathers taught their adolescent sons how to jelq in an effort to prepare them for manhood.<br />
<br />
Regardless of where the jelq came from, penis enlargement doesn’t happen overnight and in most cases require a brigade of exercises to add more than an inch. One of the reasons I originally wrote Exercising the Penis was not only to dispel the confusion surrounding penis exercising and jelqing, but also to lay out the exercises that are safe and effective.<br />
<br />
The jelq is the first exercise that most men use to enlarge their penis. When done properly, the jelq also makes the penis healthier and harder. Much harder. Here’s a quick overview of how to make it happen.<br />
<br />
1 - WARM UP BEFORE JELQING<br />
<br />
You'll want to warm up before you jelq. Whatever you do, don't skip this step. As one penis exerciser says, “Warming up is a lot like foreplay. If you take the time to do it right, you’ll get the results you want in a quicker period of time.”<br />
<br />
Warming up involves applying heat to your penis for roughly five minutes. There are several ways to warm up. The most common ways include:<br />
<br />
1. Getting a warm heating pad and wrapping it around your penis<br />
<br />
2. Using a wash cloth that's been dipped in hot water and applying it to your penis<br />
<br />
3. Taking a hot shower and letting the water directly hit your penis<br />
<br />
<br />
2 - APPLY LUBRICATION<br />
<br />
After you've warmed up, lather your penis with lubrication. Lubrication will allow you to effectively jelq your penis. The most common lubricants are baby oil and Vaseline.<br />
<br />
<br />
3 - GET THE ERECTION LEVEL RIGHT<br />
<br />
Once you’ve applied lubrication to your penis, it's time to get your blood flowing. You don't want an erection, but your penis should be between 50 and 75 percent erect. In other words, you want your penis to be between semi-soft and semi-hard (whatever you do, don't jelq with a full blown erection as it is potentially dangerous).<br />

4 – GRIP YOUR PENIS<br />
<br />
With either hand, use your thumb and pointer finger to create an OK-grip (if done properly, it looks as if you are giving someone the &quot;OK&quot; symbol). <br />
<br />
Place the jelqing grip at the base of your penis. You want the grip to be as close to your pubic bone as humanly possible.<br />
<br />
<br />
5 – JELQ AWAY<br />
<br />
After the grip is in place, apply pressure to it and gently move it up your penis. The optimal pressure is light, yet effective at exercising the tissues within your penis. <br />
<br />
Make sure to stop the jelq directly before you reach the head of your penis (do not jelq the head). The entire jelq should take two to three seconds.<br />
<br />
<br />
6 – GOING AND GOING<br />
<br />
After you've done one jelq, subsequently take your other hand and repeat the process. You'll want to switch hands every jelq rep until you reach your desired number of reps. For the first few weeks, do no more than 150 jelqs per workout.<br />
<br />
SAFETY FIRST<br />
<br />
Once you have the jelq down, you'll have to do the exercise on a regular basis to cause growth. That said, you shouldn't jelq every day - especially in the beginning. <br />
<br />
One penis exerciser said it best, “your penis needs time and rest to rest to recover from the workouts. If you don't give your penis enough rest, then jelqing stops becoming healthy and starts becoming dangerous.” <br />
<br />
Other ways you can make sure your workouts stay healthy include:<br />

-Always warming up<br />

-Be gentle with your grip and intensity<br />
<br />
-Never jelq with a full blown erection<br />
<br />
-Don’t jelq the head of your penis<br />

&quot;Is PE 'easy'?&quot;: Relatively speaking, yes. We've laid out most of the ground work for you in the members' area. The only thing left to do is to FOLLOW THE ROUTINES. Getting assistance and advice is important, but in the end, you're going to have to do the exercises YOURSELF.<br />
 <br />
&quot;How long before I see results?&quot; A lot of guys start seeing noticeable changes within a few weeks. A few genetic marvels have added up to an inch or more in less than a month! Uncommon? Yes. Impossible? No. Again, how fast you see results is entirely dependent on YOU. Here are some factors that will determine how much and how fast you gain:<br />

- Finding a good routine- VERY IMPORTANT! Does the program offer consultation services? How's their support? How long do they take to answer emails? Is the info regularly updated? Are there various routines to choose from? Are the guidelines easy to follow? <br />

A lot of the same guys that are seeking quick fixes are also complaining that the routines &quot;take too long&quot;. Granted, there are some sites that recommend doing hours of exercises (we don't recommend those). For the sites that we DO recommend- &quot;Do the exercises take a long time to do?&quot; Relatively speaking, no. Unless you're VERY advanced, the exercises shouldn't take more than 30 minutes a day (hanging weights is the exception, but that doesn't require anything more than setting up a weight at the end of your penis- no actual manual exercise there) to perform.<br />

People talk about being pressed for time. Take 20 minutes a day to devote to PE. Are you willing to set aside a few minutes a day for PE? If you REALLY desire a bigger penis, you'll MAKE the time. Take that time that you normally spend watching TV and use it for PE. Wake up a few minutes earlier or go to bed a few minutes later. Do it on your lunch/coffee break. Get the idea?<br />

The kegel is an excellent exercise in resolving impotence if you suffer from slight venous leaks. Other stamina exercises like Towel Raises and the &quot;Stop and Start&quot; will also help in this area. However, more serious cases of physical impotency will probably require medical assistance. Modern medicine has come up with many wonderful advancements in this field. <br />
 <br />
By far, the biggest cause of impotence today is psychological impotence. This usually stems from simple performance anxiety and insecurity issues. Almost every man at some point or another suffers from this on at least one occasion. <br />
 <br />
One simple way to determine if you suffer from psychological as opposed to physical impotence is if you have a “morning hard-on.” If you wake up in the morning with an erection, everything is most likely in physical working order. Another simple test is the stamp test. Before going to bed, take an ordinary roll of postage stamps and, moistening them, wrap them around your unerect penis. Upon awakening, if everything is in physical working order, the stamps will be separated as a result of the natural penile tumescence cycle which occurs in all physically healthy men as they sleep. <br />
 <br />
On a psychological level, you should convince yourself that if you are okay physically, it's all in your head! <br />
 <br />
By far, the best way of resolving simple Psychological impotence is if you have an understanding lover, explain to them that yes, you are turned on by them physically, but because you want to please them so much, you're just a little nervous. Explain to your lover it has nothing to do with them; that's it's simply all in your head. You just need a little time to learn to relax. Spend some time with your lover in sexual activities that don't bring on anxiety. Learn to enjoy what you're feeling at the moment. Realize that your penis WANTS to get hard; all you have to do is relax a little. <br />
 <br />
Approach love making in a relaxed manner; after all, you're not there to do a job, simply to enjoy yourself and your partner. Realize that your lover will understand; and if they don't, maybe you shouldn't be with that person anyway. <br />
 <br />
If these exercises do not help to resolve your psychological impotence, some professional counseling would be advisable to conquer what is probably a deeper issue.<br />

In this newsletter, I'm going to cover penile injuries/afflictions that may occur because of improper exercise techniques, trauma, and/or negligence.<br />
 <br />
Little Red Spots- The occurence of little red spots are very common. Almost everyone that's done concentrated girth work has had to deal little red spots on the head and shaft of the penis. The spots, known as &quot;petechiae&quot;, are the most common &quot;negative&quot; side effect from doing PE. In reality, they're relatively harmless. Why do we get them? Well, they are nothing more than little pinpoint-sized bruises cause by excessive compressing of the penis. As long as the spots don't get any bigger than a pinpoint, you shouldn't even bother worrying about them. Time, massage, and hot wraps/soaks will alleviate them. The occurence of little red spots is very common.<br />
 <br />
Bruising- The occurence of bruising is common. A more intense version of the little red spots, bruising usually occurs from heavy hanging without enough padding in the hanger, or from hanging too long and tight without a break. Some bruises on the penis are so severe that they actually form a bolus of blood underneath the skin. In that case, a sterile needle can be used to drain some of the blood (BE CAREFUL!) While not very serious (unless you've manage to cut off so much circulation to the penis that you've destroyed tissue), bruising can be very unsightly. Treatments usually consist of rest, hot wraps/soaks, applications of &quot;Arnica&quot; to the penis itself, and the consumption of a supplement called &quot;Butcher's Broom&quot;. Both Arnica and Butcher's Broom can usually be found in any nutritional outlet.<br />
 <br />
Rashes- The occurence of rashes are very common. Rashes (from PE) are usually caused by a lack of lubrication while milking. A rash may appear as a small red area, or in extreme cases, may resemble a burn and may be accompanied by small cuts or scrapes. Cocoa butter cream, &quot;Bag Balm&quot;, and other mild skin creams and ointments are effective in alleviating rashes.<br />
 <br />
Thrombosed Veins- The occurence of thrombosed veins are not too common. A thrombosed vein is a vein that's been distended due to too much internal vascular pressure inside the vein itself. It's usually caused by abusing squeeze type exercises, but pumpers have been known to get them. Many men that have suffered from this condition have commented that it's relatively painless, but a very few seem to suffer excruciating pain. The treatment for this? Rest and hot wraps/soaks. To prevent this from happening in the future, exercise moderation in the activity that caused it in the first place.<br />
 <br />
Strained ligaments- The occurrence of strained ligaments is fairly common. Strained ligaments a the base of the penis can occur from hanging/stretching too often and intensely without enough rest, or can occur from a single incident of excessively intense hanging/stretching. Most of the pain felt from strained ligaments can be felt at the base of the penis, and may extend to the interior of the pubis and even as far as the lower abdomen. Lots of rest is required for strained ligaments... and it's of the utmost importance! Doing PE with strained ligaments can lead to actual tearing of the ligaments, which may require surgery.<br />
 <br />
Peyronie's Disease- The occurence of Peyronie's is uncommon. According to medical experts, the causes of Payronie's are unclear. A plaque (hard lump) that forms on the penis characterizes Peyronie's. The plaque usually causes a bend in the penis; and in severe cases, may make sexual intercourse painful or impossible. Peyronie's can be treated with exercises, but in severe cases, surgery may be required.<br />
 <br />
Broken Penis- The occurence of broken penises are rare. A broken penis is caused by severe trauma to an erection, causing a rupture in the tunica. Broken penises most commonly occur during sex; while the man is thrusting, pulls out, and misses the vagina. Other causes of broken penises are falls, and careless pumping. A broken penis is characterized by intense pain and severe bruising to the penis and surrounding area. Surgery is almost always required to fix a broken penis.<br />
 <br />

Well let me just tell you that you're wrong.I have nothing to gain by writing this but you do.What I mean by pe is simple; kegals,jelqs and stretches.No pumps, or horseblocks or ullies or whatever else some do.Hell I don't even know what those things are!No I don't spend 20-30 minutes at a time doing it either.I do either jelqs or stretches whenever I have a spare 2 or 3 minutes.It might add  up to 20 minutes a day. I haven't timed it. Kegals you can do all day long whenever and wherever so they don't count.Let me tell you what a 53 year old guy has found in the about 8 weeks of doing these exercises resting on every fourth day.When a nocturnal erection was an occasional thing now I routinely get a couple a night.That didn't happen before. My erections don't just seem to be harder, they are as noticed by my wife. I must admit I noticed that too.I am noticably larger in length and girth by .5 inches with very accurate measurements.This is all with about 7-8 weeks worth of excercising.Since well all want a bigger dick,I'll keep working at it. Maybe I'll get more , maybe not, but the quality of what I have right now is just better.So be skeptical if you want but it does work, it's not too time consuming , and you will like the results. One word of caution. Results will take time. I feel thicker and bigger after a days rest so any of you who start this routine don't try to be mega man in 2 weeks. It won't happen and you'll just hurt yourself.If you wish to know exactly what I do e-mail me or leave a message and I'll get back to you.I haven't told my wife what I am doing, told her that she is just getting me more aroused, but I know she appreciates what's happening!
