I bet you're a lot happier these days, where you don't have to live like that. I see some doctors these days who, you think because they have the big house, the custom Bentley and the trophy wife, they're as happy as can be...but I know for sure they're not....cause theyhave no time to enjoy any of it.
I know for a fact that, when I finish med-school and go for my residency, I won't be trying to get into any fancy, high-powered (high risk) specialty. I wanna work to live, and not just live to work. I mean, God bless all those heart surgeons, neurosurgeons and such for their work and sacrifice...but you can bet your ass I won't be one of them. The thing with my girl is that she's just getting her feet wet in terms of learning "the good, the bad, and the ugly" of the job market out there, and she's gonna eventually learn to be more assertive about "having a life", just like you and I learned the hard way. I deffinitelly think she has some health issue that's doubling the effects of her job's stress; she might have a little case of Anemia or something like that, but we'll find out for sure once she gets blood-work done and goes to her follow-up visit with the Doc to see what's up.
Anyways....DAWN!!! Wooooohoooo!!! I TOLD YOU, muthafucka!!! When you're on the search for a woman, you just can't have enough prospects so now you see how not giving up so quickly does pay off more often than not; that's just the way it is, brah. I'm glad you didn't just write her off. From what you were telling me, the fact that she still bothered to contact you here and there (even if it took her a long time in between each contact) means that you were still a contender. Dude, one thing I've realized more and more is that, no matter how perfect it might all seem at first, sooner or later you get to see once again that ALL WOMEN have issues..ALL OF THEM. Some more than others, some manageable and some just impossible to deal with, but no matter how big or little, they ALL have some kind if inner debris. I'm not surprised that the thing with Dawn has been "positively dragging" for this long, and I mean "positively dragging" in terms of maintaining a good vibe while communicating so sporadically for so long. So many reasons you could blame for that. #1) Kids. You as a father know very well how once you have kids, you gotta make them a priority...and for a single mom that can mean a LOT of work some times. Plus add to that the fact that she might be being very cautious, treading the dating waters very lightly while trying to find somebody that wants more than just charm her thong off for one night and then disappear....or turn out to be a fucking bum. After all, even if she's not looking to find another husband, I bet at least she's set on finding someone that she's gonna feel comfortable bringing over to her camp. #2) The nature of internet dating is that they get hit ALL THE TIME so it's only fair that they might want to take their time, while sizing up all the potential mates. Even if that means dating them only once and just writing them off. The fact that she's kept in touch with you means that she definitelly liked you.
Think about it, if you were the one getting constant hits like women do (and I mean by the HUNDREDS per week or even per day!), wouldn't you take your time sampling around and trying to find the best pick from the bunch of potential mates you'd have access to? Of fucking course you would, brah!!
